Seminar: "Photoswitches to control and drive chemistry, materials and devices by light"

On October the 6th, Prof.Dr.(Humboldt University of Berlin) Stefan Hecht presented a talk at Victor Pillon Auditorium in the Faculty of Chemistry. The seminar called "Photoswitches to control and drive chemistry, materials, and devices by light” gathered participation from professors and researcher from different Universities and Research Centers. Subsequently, Dr. Hecht had a meeting with the interested researchers. Dr. Hecht's visit was possible thanks to the ongoing collaboration between Dr. Flavia Zacconi and Dr. Lars Ratjen (UNAB-Fraunhofer Chile) and the activities done under the projects: Fondecyt N° 11140476, Fondecyt N° 11130595, Facultad de Química UC, and Research Center for Nanotechnoogy and Advanced Materials (CIEN-UC).

From left to right. On top: Dr. Hecht (Humboldt University of Berlin), Dr. Ratjen (CBIB-UNAB-Fraunhofer Chile), Dr. Ezequiel Juritz (CBIB-UNAB), Dr. Acevedo-Cox (Universidad de Los Andes-C4C). At the bottom: Dra. Loreto Parra (School of Engineering, UC), Dra. Flavia Zacconi (Faculty o Chemistry, PUC), Dra. Ady Giordano (Faculty of Chemistry, PUC).

Doctor Enrique Dalchiele from Universidad de la Repúplica de Uruguay will give a postgraduate course named: "Fundamentos de la Electroquímica de semiconductor y fotoelectroquímica: estudio de la unión semiconductor-electrolito". To get information about the course syllabus,
