She studied Pedagogy in Chemistry and Natural Sciences at Universidad Metropolitana de Ciencias de la Educación (UMCE). In 2009 she received her PhD in Chemistry from Universidad de Chile subsequently, she did her postdoctoral research at Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile (2009-2011) and at University of Notre Dame (2011).
She is currently working as an Asistant Professor at Inorganic Chemistry Department of Pontificia UNiversidad Católica de Chile .
Her research areas include Nanotechnoliogy, specifically, the understanding of photocalytic nanomaterials behavour for storage processes and energy transformation, specifically, for remediation of waste water containing polluting substances such as organic dyes and bacteria. In the Educational area, her investigation is to integrate Nanotechnology into a national level, through the creation of new experimental activities and modules for the appropriation of concepts, abilities and attitudes related to Nanoscience in tertiary education.
