Specialty: Biology of Cardiovascular System, Pharmacology, Cardiovascular Pathophysiology, Cellular Therapy and Regenerative Medicine. .

Professor Ebensperger has a PhD in Biochemistry, Universidad de Chile (2000). He does research in the area of Pharmacology and Biology of cardiovascular system. He studies mainly molecular mechanisms involved in the development of cardiac hipertrophy and cardiac insufficiency. Especially, in the participation of renin angiotensi system, growth factors, nitric oxide synthase, cyclooxygenase and pro-inflammatory cytokines. In adittion to this, he does research in Pharmacological evaluation of new molecules with anti-inflammatory activity (inhibition of TNF-alfa production), antiproliferative activity and anti-tyrosine kinase activity.

Currenlty, he works as an Associate Professor at the Department of Pharmacy of Pontifica Universidad Católica de Chile.
