Integrability in the AdS/CFT Correspondence

The AdS/CFT correspondence is a propasal for a duality between a specific supersymmetric quantum fiel theory and strings in anti-De Sitter space. The proposal was made more than ten years ago and no direct proof for the equivalence was ever found. We will discuss the AdS/CFT correspondence and its status. We will also discuss how the existence of integrable structures, found some years ago, may lead to a definitive proof of the correspondence.
