Graduated from Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile (1989); Biochemist from the same University (1989); PhD, Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile (1998); Posdoctorate studies in Harvard Medical School (2000); Posdoctorate studies in Universidad de Chile (2000); Postdoctorate studies in the Laboratory of Molecular and Cellular Biology, Department of Biology, Faculty of Sciencies, Universidad de Chile (2000).

Currently, she works as an Associate Professor at the Department of Molecular and Cellular Biology of Faculty of Biological Sciences, Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile

Her research lines include: vía c-Abl/p73 pathway in Alzheimer's Disease and other neurodegeneratives diseases, role of c-Abl and p73 proteins in synaptic function and structuring, cytoskeleton dynamics and neuronal diferentiation, studies in animal models; drug-seeking for Alzheimer's Disease.
