He is currently working as an Asistant Professor in the Department of Pharmacy of the Faculty of Chemistry at Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile.

The research that we carried out in our Applied Pharmaceutical Nanotechnology Laboratory is based on creating new carriers capable of delivering these kinds of API to their target. In the design and development stage of these new carriers, we make use of nanotechnology to encapsulate active molecules, protect them, increase their orientation or selectivity and overcome complex biological barriers. These innovative drugs are designed to be administered by newer routes, which include nasal and transdermal route.

Interest Areas

  • His research has a multidisciplinary approach that involves the study of the design of these new drugs from the technological, chemical, medical and pharmaceutical perspectives.
