Professor Marcelo González is Doctor of Philosophy in Civil Engineering at University of Waterloo, Ontario, Canada, he holds a Master in Engineering Sciences at Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile and studied Civil Engineering at Universidad de Santiago de Chile. As a researcher he has been involved in projects for the Public Works Ministry of Chile, FONDEF and Innova Chile, Cement Association of Canada (CAC) and The Natural Sciences and Engineering Research Council of Canada (NSERC).

Currently, he is working as an Assistant Professor at School of Engineering of Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile.

Interest Areas

  • His main interest areas are: Research in concrete building technologies and systems, design and optimization of concrete building processes, new materials for concrete building (nanomaterials, chemical additives and minerals), concrete pavement and concrete behaviour in fresh and hardened state.
